Adam's pinning ceremony was the 22nd of July and we were thrilled that he's finally finished the nursing program. He passed the daunting exit exam and is on his way to take the NCLEX exam for his nursing licence. It's been a lot of sweat, blood, tears, and sleepless nights for Adam. He's been working full-time at the hospital every night while in school.

We were glad that Dallas and Becci could make it to the pinning ceremony and graduation. They came with everyone in tow.

The Judd family made it just in time for the pinning, having come straight from Phoenix through all of the road construction. Brad came the next day, hitchhiking with Aunt Mara.

We are all so proud of Adam for his hard work.There's no doubt that he deserves the well-earned title of "nurse."

The graduation ceremony was very nice. We marched into the Hart Auditorium surrounded by applauding professors, friends, and family. Richard G. Hinckley was the keynote speaker and advised us to keep the world out of our hearts. The CES commissioner also advised against taking shortcuts, using the Donner party as an example. President Clark conferred our degrees upon us and we extended our thanks to parents and teachers who made it all possible. 

President Clark and Elder Hinckley came to our Performing Arts convocation. They spoke about glimpses of heaven and also the importance of using good language skills. There were performances by music, language, and English majors. It was nice to see what talents had been so carefully developed here.

It was thrilling to walk across the stage when they called my name. The moment I shook hands with Brother Linford and Brother Brower (the two who had seen my struggle through the music program) was striking and emotional. I didn't think I'd ever make it to see the moment where they'd be congratulating me for a music degree. Only 3 others graduated with a BA in music this semester.

Adam got permission to walk with the college of performing arts. He was announced (quite a surprise to the audience) as having a double major in nursing and health science. He was pleased. His bow tie, of course, was sensational. He's always in style for any occasion.

Among our distinguished visitors were: Dallas and Becci, Grandpa and Grandma Nielson, Reuben and Eileen Judd, and Brad, Nathan, Thomas, and Stephanie Judd. We were so happy to be surrounded by those who have always been our cheerleaders.
